Effects of coculturing of anaerobic gut fungi and lactic acid bacteria on enzyme activities

Rumen, main compartment of the stomach ruminant herbivores, have a low redox potential and anaerobic ecosystem in where various microbial populations inhabit, such as bacteria, gut fungi (AGF), protozoa archaea. These groups symbiotic life whilist both synergetic releationship inhibition some activities could be observed when they are cultured mixture. Relatively higher enzyme AGF is well documented although our knowledge about possible effects coculturing with lactic acid bacteria on their activity still limited. In current work, Neocallimastix GMLF11 was cocultured Enterecoccus sp Bifidobacterium separately its (inulinase sucrase) were determined at 45 oC after 24, 36 48 hours incubation periods. The highest supernatant specific sucrase (EC 3.2.1.48) coculture 21,4 mol/min/mg/ml protein for 36h while cell associated same mixture 22,4 h incubation. showed 48h protein, whilst that 24,6 samples end 24h period. pure culture 8 12,3 respectively. Axenic cultures 20,7 21 respectively, calculated 15,9 17,6 results suggest these remarkably induced grown coculture.
